Going to do the yearly maintenance on the snowblower. This is what I use to move it around with.
This is a 2 stage snowblower I bought in 2010 that I use on a X728 John Deere garden tractor.
This is all I had on hand for chain oil so I put it up by the overhead heater to warm it up good. I did about 2 links at a time and greased the chain up good. Then I rolled it over a few times.
I put a dab of yellow paint on the chain in the picture with my paint stick. Then I know where I started oiling and when I roll the auger over.
The manual for this blower calls for 3/16" to 3/8" slack in the chain. I took a paint stick and scored it with a utility knife, snapped it off in the vise, took another ruler and made these marks for the 3/16" and 3/8" adjustment that John Deere called for. I tried to get a ruler in there and it wasn't working.
