X728 Tractor cover finished.
Here is the finished product, stenciling complete, even with the mandatory backward "N". I believe it is the one and only custom made X728 cover. Here is how much it cost: I think it took 3 full bed sheets at $2.00 per sheet at the second hand store; $6.00 for safety pins; $40.00 total for the seamstresses plus a $5.00 tip; stencil letters $6.00; so I have a grand total of $63.00 plus a few trips downtown..1 mile each way..so it cost under $75.00.
It took three trips to the seamstresses, I just safety pinned the sheets together and hung them on there and took them down to be sewn, then pinned some more up and cut some more and sewed them. Each time they hemmed up the rough edges, which sometimes I would re-cut the hemmed edges. The cover isn't a nice custom fit cover, but it serves the purpose. I like it a lot.
