This is a standard motorcycle lift and laying to the left of it are some top rails from Menards chain link fence, they were bent so I'm going to cut these up. These rails are 1-5/16" diameter, .040 thick (between 1/32 and 1/16) and 10-1/2 ft. long. 4 bolts and nuts 1/2" x 1-1/2" long. They drop right in to the 9/16" holes. The square tubing I had laying around is 1" X 1/16". Anyway, I'm not altering the motorcycle lift, the door lift is bolted on.
To the right on the floor you will see a suitcase with a pink blanket in it. I keep that in there for my sidekick Buster.
I just unscrewed these lift adjusters. They are about 5/8" dia. and I'll use 1/2" bolts and drop them right through the holes and attach with a nut.
Tack welding the tubing to the bolts.
All tack welded in.
