I have had several emails on how this shop was set up, so with the expertise of my bride and a couple of evenings here it is. This is just to give you different ideas on how to set it up, seeing what somebody did will sometimes jog your mind and you can make it even better. This setup has been used for a long time and hasn't needed to be changed, it is an excellent ventilation system without a maze of duct work. It's been a while but I think the booth was three or four hundred but I'm not sure. It wasn't much, you will see steel was used in different areas for disassembly which hasn't been necessary to do, it's just too handy. Any questions email me.
The vent where the outside air goes into the shop or the paint room or both at the same time. Or just take air conditioned air or just take heat to the paint booth.
This vent looks crude because it was a closeable vent until I put the booth in, so I just added a plate to it to seal it.
Inside this hole is a round two inch thick eight inches in diameter piece of fairly rigid foam that I can pull out or block off the air from any direction or split the air flow with it, someday I will build a metal flapper for it, but it works too good at the present time to change it.
8" stovepipe going into the booth.
8" stovepipe coming out of the booth.
